Eagle Weekly 9/16/11

Dear Parents-

It is very clear in the Bible that adults are here to set an example

and protect the children. In Psalms, it reminds us that ALL children
are a gift from God, not just our own. This directly correlates to the

environment that we have established at ILS. Unfortunately, I have had

several reports in the last week regarding parking lot safety. I

realize that children move a little slow at times, but that is not a
reason to try to make up time by driving fast in the parking lot
and/or accelerating quickly. Please have patience, as a school parking
lot is never the place to make up lost time.Thank you for your
immediate attention in this matter.

As you witnessed on Wednesday, we changed up rain dismissal....again.
From now on, we are going to dismiss in the rain, just like we do
everyday, by having the two lanes of traffic circle the parking lot.
There are just too many cars and I would rather have the kids get a
little wet than have cars backed up on Highway N during a bad rain
storm. If there is a chance of rain, PLEASE make sure that your child
has a raincoat/coat with a hood so that they stay as dry as possible.
