Eagle Weekly 1/27/12

Dear Parents-

I want to give a special thank you to the Kindergarten and 1st graders who did a fabulous job proclaiming the love of Jesus in song (and bells) last Sunday!

Please take special note of the dates below. Things are several important things in the near future.

January 29th- Voters meeting where Board elections will be held.
January 31st-Registration for ILC Members
February 1st-Registration for ALL School Families
February 2nd-Registration open to Community
February 11th-Auction

We do need a lot of volunteers to make the auction work well. PTL has a sign up sheet on the bulleting board in the school office. We definitely need help setting up on Friday, February 10th and cleaning up after the auction on the 11th. Clean up will include taking down tables and chairs.

Eagle Weekly 1/20/12

Dear Families at ILS-
Happy Friday to you all! I have a few very important announcements to take note of.

Chapel Offerings: The school mailed off a $1200 check to Martin Luther School in Joplin. This school was devastated by the tornado last spring. Please continue to pray for this ministry. I spoke with the Principal today and he was so appreciative of our gift.

Trivia Night/Silent Auction:
Forms for tables were sent home this week. They can also be found online starting Monday (1/23/12)
If you would like to advertise at the event as a Round Sponsor. Please let us know.
If you would like to donate something to the auction, or know someone or a business that does, we also have donor forms in the school office. These forms will also be online by Monday (1/23/12).

Enrollment:
2012-13 Enrollment forms went home on Thursday. Please mark your calendars for your assigned registration date. These forms are also online. We are having Leaps and Bounds coming on those dates as well for short seminars for parents to listen to while they are waiting to register.

Snow Days/School Closings:
Remember to check channels 2,4,5 and KMOX. I also post school closings on Facebook, Twitter and FastDirect.

Registration Dates are:
January 31st- Immanuel Church Members
February 1st- All Current School Members
February 2nd- Enrollment Open to the Public

2nd Semester Notes from Mrs. Dolak (IMPORTANT)

Happy Second Semester Parents-

I hope everyone had a wonderful and restful Christmas break.
Below are some VERY IMPORTANT news and notes for everyone. Please read them carefully.

1)Hot lunch will not be served on Wednesday (Jan. 4th) due to kitchen staff training. There WILL BE hot lunch served on Thursday (hotdogs, chips, vegetable, fruit and dessert) and Friday (Domino's Pizza Day). (I know that you were all just notified that hot lunch would not be served Wed, Thurs, or Friday, but this HAS changed.)

2) ILS Kindergarten Round-up will be this Sunday from 1-3pm. If you or someone you know is interested in sending their child(ren) to Immanuel for Kindergarten, this event is for you!

3)The entire parking lot is now open for use. Please circle around the by the playground area (just like we did last year) for drop off and dismissal.

4) K-8 students will be allowed in the building at 8:05am starting January 4th. Due to our large enrollment it is hard to physically get everyone in the building so the extra time should definitely help in addition to the whole parking lot being accessible to families. The tardy bell rings at 8:20am.

5)Starting on January 9th we will have after school care on MONDAYS AND THURSDAYS until 6pm. (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays will still be until 5:30pm). This will be a pilot program to see if this is a need of our working parents at ILS. (It will be an additional charge per child for this half hour).

6) Pizza night at Papa John's tomorrow (Wednesday, January 4th) Your child will be bringing home a flyer on Wednesday. Just call the Papa John's on Pearce Blvd. and say you are ordering for the ILS fundraiser. We raised $140 last month! Thank you in advance.

7) Please mark your calendars that ILS will not be in session on MLK JR. Day (Jan. 16th).
